Lights for Nero
Lights for Nero is South Carolina's energy-driven, spastic grind/trash/metal/hardcore/indie violence 6-piece that proves that music has no limits. The beautiful display of worship and the chaotic nature of man are the artistic qualities that Lights for Nero expresses through their intellectual music. The members attack the album with deep, fierce growls, high-pitched, violent screaming, intense off-tempo beats that go back into emtional and aggresive beats, an onslaught of duel guitars, bass, blistering drums, a crazy methodical saxophone and some of the most beautiful and catchy melodies. This is brilliant grind/hardcore, that is both insane, and also complicated and experimential. This is the stuff, that you can't detach yourself from, and also shed tears to. With almost 7 years in the music business, guitarist/keyboarder Matt Saxon says that Lights for Nero is yet the most trasendental and creative band he has been in. Lights for Nero has been together for about 1 year and has already accomplised the task of recording a full-lenght which you can buy over at The Hearken, and also has toured the U.S all the way to Chicago and back. Lights for Nero has had the honor of playing with bands like Mercy 78, Zao, Guyana Punchline, Converge, and they have also had the pleasure of playing an outstanding set at the Cornerstone festivel in Bushnell, IL where they gained a small following. They are planning on playing in the Cornerstone festival this year too. Lights for Nero's main inspirations are bands like As the Sun Sets, The Locust, Pig Destroyer, Spitfire with a mix of jazz and a strong influence of Pink Floyd.
